Owyhee County
Owyhee County is a county in the southwestern state of Idaho, United States. In the 2020 census, the population was 12,133. The county seat is Murphy, and the largest city in it is Homedale. By area, she is the second largest county in Idaho, after Idaho County.
Owyhee County is part of the Boise metropolitan area and includes just over half of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation that extends across the Nevada state line into Elko County. The majority of the federally recognized Shoshone Paiute people associated with the reservation live on the Nevada side. Its tribal center is in Owyhee, Nevada.
